Cal/EPA is hosting a second CERS Data Seeding Q&A web conference on Wed., Jan.29 from 9am to 10am. This meeting was announced on the CERS Data Seeding home page in later January (http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/DataSeeding/).
This meeting is intended for technical implementers and other staff with direct responsibility for CERS data seeding to ask questions of the Cal/EPA technical team. The data seeding process is detailed in "Regulator Seeding of Facility Data in CERS2" which was released by Cal/EPA on 10/10/2012 and is available at: http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/Tempdocs/Seeding/CERS2SeedingNov2011.pdf . All attendees should have read the document mentioned above IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING. Cal/EPA staff has no new information to present except for the two bullet points shown below, so the meeting is reserved fully for questions and answers. Cal/EPA anticipates posting a recording of this session on the Data Seeding home page.

"New" Data Seeding Information
* Due to circumstances beyond the Cal/EPA Unified Program's control, the bulk of the contract programmer assistance Cal/EPA was using to implement EDT and data seeding has been disrupted, and Cal/EPA will not be able to provide solid estimates of deliverables until contracts and replacement staffing have been secured. No data seeding will occur in Q1 2012, and the earliest possible date to begin seeding would be late April, and possibly later.
* Cal/EPA intends to finalize the data seeding process and data seeding spreadsheet templates by the end of March.
