ARCHIVE: CERS Change Management Committee

ARCHIVE: The CERS Change Management Committee (CMC) was established in 2011 at the direction of UPAAG and Cal/EPA, and disbanded by Cal/EPA in late 2013. The group was established to provide realistic identification and prioritization/scheduling of program/technical issues related to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). The CMC’s decisions provided guidance to Cal/EPA management and CERS technical staff on the precedence and importance of CERS change requests. The CERS CMC operated under the Data Steering Committee (DSC) policy direction, but the program/technical decisions made by CMC were independent of the DSC. The group only met twice, and Cal/EPA disbanded the group because there were other less time-consuming approaches to collect this type of input from the CERS community.  

The CMC’s principle activity was going be to reviewing change requests originating from the CERS Regulator User Group, the CERS Business User Group, CUPA Forum Board, and Cal/EPA. Such change requests were tracked in the CERS Enhancements Listing

October 18th, 2011 Meeting
The agenda will include formally adopting a Charter and discussing how the Committee wants to receive change requests from the CERS Regulator and Business User Groups. Interested parties should contact their CERS Change Management Committee representatives with any concerns or questions concerning these agenda items in advance of the meeting.
